ENDURISTAN
Enduristan
"I want a bag that won't break."
Enduristan began with that extremely simple complaint.
Long-distance touring.
Off-roading.
Dust.
Rain.
Crashes.
The longer you travel, the more grueling the conditions become for your gear.
And, in fact, that is exactly where many bags fail.
Straps snap.
Seams rip.
Zippers jam.
Contents get wet.
Enduristan is a brand born from that "reality".
It begins not at a desk, but somewhere along the journey.
The founder, David, was a rider who actually traveled the world.
The Sahara.
Australia.
Long-distance adventure rides.
Throughout these journeys, he experienced gear trouble time and time again.
That is why Enduristan products are
not made for the sake of "looks."
"This part is hard to use."
"Why does this break here?"
"Why do I need a waterproof cover?"
They are built upon the accumulation of such real-life experiences.
It is not waterproof, so assume that it will get wet.
A key characteristic of Enduristan is their approach to waterproofing.
Sudden downpours.
Mud.
Prolonged periods of bad weather.
They do not treat these conditions as "occasional occurrences."
They are designed from the start with the assumption that these things will happen.
That is why they do not rely on the concept of using a rain cover.
The bag itself is built with a waterproof structure.
This philosophy makes a significant difference when you're actually out using the gear.
You don't need to stop to put on a cover.
You don't have to change your riding style because of the rain.
In other words, the "time spent worrying about your luggage" is reduced.
Enduristan’s greatest strength lies in that lack of stress.
I find myself wanting to think of ways to use this.
Enduristan products possess a unique expandability.
Choose a bag.
Add another bag to the side.
Devise a way to load your gear.
Adjust the configuration little by little to suit your style of travel.
Then, strangely enough,
"Let's try this next time."
Ideas will start to surface one after another.
I want to attach a tool bag here.
I want to add this expansion bag.
I want to try a different packing method for my next trip.
It feels less like just using a product and more like building your own travel gear.
It has a functional feel.
Enduristan products have a certain unique aura.
They aren't flashy.
They don't lean toward fashion either.
But, they carry the persuasive power of "travel gear."
They can be used continuously, even when scuffed or dirty.
They are built on the premise that they will be well-worn.
And that shows clearly in their appearance.
That's why they look better piled on haphazardly and covered in mud
rather than kept spotless.
Tools like that are surprisingly rare.
What we can do because we are a small brand
Enduristan is still run by a small team in Switzerland.
It doesn't have the flashiness of a mass-produced brand.
But in return,
it has an intense obsession with its products.
In fact, it is said that in the early days of the company, they tested materials and buckles by breaking them hundreds of times.
That accumulation of effort
is what leads to the "durability" and "peace of mind" we have today.
As JAPEX
We don't view Enduristan as just a luggage brand.
Being waterproof.
Being durable.
Those things are certainly important.
But what truly draws us in lies beyond that.
The time spent planning a journey.
The time spent figuring out how to pack.
The time spent discovering your own way of using the gear.
Enduristan allows you to enjoy every part of that process.
It is not a brand that merely sells finished products, but one that nurtures the travel style of each individual user.
That is why we are so drawn to Enduristan.
