The "Balance" series is synonymous with Gaerne's trial boots, loved by trial riders in Japan and around the world for many years. These boots conform to your feet, allowing you to feel the machine's movements to the maximum. The high degree of ankle freedom makes them suitable for precise bike control, and you can easily feel the brake operation.
The sole offers excellent grip, bites well into natural terrain, and walking comfort is also considered.
These boots are, in fact, highly suitable not only for trials but also for forest road touring.
Because they are based on trial boots, the soles are soft, allowing you to easily feel the ground beneath your feet.
Furthermore, the high degree of ankle freedom allows for delicate brake and shift operations.
These characteristics provide excellent control on technical forest roads, such as rocky surfaces and tight turns.
It is this balance of "ground feel" and "operability" that has earned them long-standing support from forest road touring users.
Gaerne products are designed for riding, so the sizing differs from general shoes. Also, each model has different lasts, sole shapes, and sole manufacturing methods, resulting in variations in sizing. We have prepared a size chart based on the sole and last data of each model, so please use it to help you choose your size.

24.5 (equivalent to 23.5cm-24.0cm)
25 (equivalent to 24.0cm)

The shin plate (plastic guard on the shin) is floated to improve fit and mobility. The shin plate can be adjusted to any of 3 positions.
The shin plate is removable and replaceable.

All three buckles can be moved to any desired position simply by adjusting screws, allowing for a custom fit to the rider's foot.
By incorporating a special heat guard into the boot, we have achieved weight reduction without compromising the conventional heat resistance. This protects the rider from the machine's heat.
These products are handmade by craftsmen one by one at the Gaerne factory in the Veneto region of Italy.

"今まで使っていた、ガエルネのミッドランドとの比較ですが、本体が非常に軽くレザーの柔軟性もよく、ペダル操作や足首の屈曲などもよりやりやすくなったと思います。 ミッドランドでもモトクロスブーツよりはかなり柔軟性がありましたが、それよりさらに動きやすくていい具合です。 サイズはミッドランドで28㎝（ちょっと大きめだったので、中敷き追加して丁度よくなってます）、このバランスエクストリームは最初27.5㎝を購入しましたが、左右の製品サイズが微妙に異なっていたようで、左足は丁度でしたが右足側の長さがきつかったので、結局28㎝に交換していただきました。 28㎝で足の甲回りがちょっと大きい（余裕がありすぎ）と感じますが、中敷きを入れて調整しています。"
