Gaerne products are designed for riding, so their sizing differs from general shoes. Also, each model has a different last, sole shape, and sole manufacturing method, resulting in variations in sizing. Carefully designed philosophy

The ED-PRO is designed with "easy to walk in, easy to wear" as its basic concept, minimizing protection and maximizing the inherent performance of the leather. Utilizing Gaerne's expertise, the design and cutting of each part incorporate the skills of experienced craftsmen. The beautiful, smooth lines and excellent fit are the work of skilled artisans. Instead of a protection part, shirring (a process of sewing fabric into pleats to add elasticity) has been added to the ankle part of the heel, allowing for flexible movement.

Calf Expansion System

The buckle base comes with three pre-installed nuts. By removing the buckle and attaching it to the front two positions, the calf area can be expanded. Using the optional extra-long strap further increases the range of expansion.
Furthermore, by carefully considering the cutting lines of the parts that make up the calf area and increasing the overlap on the sides, flexible adjustment has become possible without the opening being exposed.

Vibram Block Sole

This is the Vibram block sole, which is the identity of the ED-PRO. The main advantage of this sole is its immense grip, but it also contributes to making a lightweight boot due to the sole's own light weight. It has flexibility in the arch area, making it an ideal sole for walking.

Interior

The special interior "inner core" (TERMO ADESIVO・CONTRA FORTE), which revolutionized off-road boots and was adopted from the ED-PRO art.402, has been further improved for fit by changing the thickness of the padding.

Full-grain Leather

Instead of using as few plastic parts as possible, the protection offered by genuine cowhide is maximized. Only first-grade leather, which can only be obtained in limited quantities from a single cow, is used.

HAND MADE IN ITALY

This is a handmade product, with each item individually crafted by artisans at the Gaerne factory in the Veneto region of Italy.
