Gaerne products are designed for riding, so the sizing is different from regular shoes. Each model also has a different last, sole shape, and sole manufacturing method, so the sizing varies. The boots themselves are made from full-grain leather, which can only be obtained in limited quantities from a single cow.

protection

Resin protectors are built into the shin area. Plastic protectors are attached to the ankles and heels, which are more susceptible to damage in the event of an accident. Thick synthetic leather is sewn onto the little toe area, which is more likely to come into contact with the road surface. A thermoformed cup-shaped toe guard is built into the toe.
