It's not just off-road boots that require support for riding. There are many situations on the road where support is important. The G-RT is a model that reflects the technology that Gaerne has cultivated in on-road racing into on-road riding boots.
The reduced use of plastic parts and the use of primarily microfiber contribute to lightweight and easy handling. Each part allows for flexible movement, eliminating the image of riding boots that tightly grip the ankle and restrict ankle movement. Equipped with essential protection for riding boots, such as a heel cup and wide shin plate, the entire boot acts as a barrier against unexpected movements such as falls, making riding easy and always prepared for emergencies. The elastic side zipper makes putting on and taking off the boots easy. The mesh lining means you don't have to worry about the inside of the boots getting too stuffy, even when wearing them for long periods of time.
These boots will support you in a wide range of situations, from long-distance touring where you wear them all day to sports riding such as winding roads.
The G-RS is equipped with a frame that uses a floating system, while the G-RT has no frame and is designed mainly with microfiber. Both boots are flexible enough to accommodate the movements required for sports riding, but for touring and light sports riding, we recommend the G-RT.
Gaerne products are designed for riding, so the sizing is different from regular shoes. Each model also has a different last, sole shape, and sole manufacturing method, so the sizing varies. We have prepared a size chart based on the sole and last data for each model, so please use it to help you choose your size.

The wide-opening side zipper has been made more stretchy, making it easier to put on and take off the boots. The Velcro zipper guard that covers the zipper allows you to adjust the fit around your calf.
Each product is handmade by artisans at the Gaerne factory in the Veneto region of Italy.

"今回、GRTを購入しました。 もともとタフギアフラットをモトジムカーナで使用していました。 足首が自由に動くのでとても気に入っていたのですが、そろそろしっかりしたブーツに変えたいと思って、メールでガエルネさんに相談したところGRTが良いのではないかと、お返事いただいたので早速、購入しました。 初めてモトジムカーナで使用した際 タフギアフラットに比べ ふくらはぎまでブーツが覆うので少しだけ足首は動かしにくいとは感じましたが、走行時のタイムを計測するとタフギアフラットの時と特に変化がみられなかったので、僕にはあっているのだと思いました。 ただ一つここを改善していただければと思う点が、トゥスライダーがすぐに無くなるので、これを改善していただければありがたいです。"

"ボランティアで二輪車安全運転指導員をしています。 安全運転実技教室にて課題コースを作るために広い会場内を歩き回ることも多く、スラロームの先導や見本走行で乗車しての指導もありますので 「歩行時の柔軟性」と共に「乗車時の車体ホールドのし易さ（フィット感としっかり感）」が必須となります。 実は前モデルにあたる「Gエボリューションファイブ」を街乗り＆ツーリング用として購入し４年ほど使っていますので今回新調した「G-RT」と比較してみます。 前モデル「Gエボリューションファイブ」は外側ジッパーでブーツ全体を閉じるタイプで、上部のみを留める形状の皮ベルト（内側にベルクロ付き）になっています。一般にこういう形状のブーツが多いと思います。 一方、「G-RT」はブーツの内側になったジッパー部と、それ全体を外側から覆う形状の皮カバー（内側にベルクロ付き）の二重構造となっています。 実はこの「内側になったジッパー」と「外側から覆う形状の皮カバー」の二重構造こそ、メーカーの狙い＝進化させた大きなポイントではないか？と勝手に解釈しています。 「ジッパーの上げ具合とベルクロの留め方を工夫することで、とても大きな調整幅を取ることが可能」 私の足形ではジッパーを上部まで上げて、ベルクロを完全に閉じてしまうと歩行した時に足の甲部分の皮革が内側に折れ、少し“あたる感じ”になりました。 しかしながら、ジッパーとベルクロ留めを調整すること（ジッパー部の引き上げを足首までとしベルクロ留めを若干緩めに閉じる組合せ）でこの気になる“あたり”具合が完全に解消され、乗車時に右足をステップに載せた際のブレーキペダルの角度とも上手くマッチするようになりました。 スーパースポーツ系バイクに乗られる方であれば、私のようにジッパー部を上部まで上げずに足首あたりまでとして、さらにベルクロを緩めに閉じることでバックステップ位置に合わせた足の角度とともに自由度が増します。 ステップ位置が前気味のネイキッド系アップハンドルのバイクに乗られる方であれば、ジッパー部を上部まで上げておくとしっかりとした車体ホールドがよりし易くなると思います。もちろん街中を歩き回る時にはジッパー部とベルクロを緩めに閉じれば格段に歩き易くなります。 G-RTは様々なライダーの「好み」や「足の形」にフィットさせる汎用性があるなと実感出来ました。こちらも大切に使って行こうと思います"

"8年使っていたブーツが壊れてしまったため、買い換えました。前回のブーツは安く手に入ったので、価格の安いライディングシューズやツーリングブーツと悩みましたが、すねやふくらはぎも保護してくれて安心感があり、ツーリングブーツよりもプロテクターが多いこのブーツにしました。サイズが合わなければ返品可能というのも選んだ理由の一つです。前のブーツは牛革でしたが、今回は人工皮革。前のブーツよりも軽いです。また、手入れ方法も楽なようです。前回のブーツは革は問題なかったのですが、縫い付けていた甲のプロテクターが縫い目か割れてしまいました。今回も同じくらい保ってくれたらいいなと思います。前のブーツよりつま先に厚みにあるのかシフトペダルの下に入れた足が引っかかってまっすぐ後ろに抜けず、横から抜いています。履いているうちに変わるかもしれません。 私の足は幅広甲高のため、普段の靴は26〜26. 5の4Eですが、海外のブーツは大抵幅が狭いようで、今回は27. 5で横幅がぴったりでした。つま先は少し余りますが、横幅で止まるため、中で足は動きません。ご参考になればと思います"

"バイクの教習用に購入しました。脛、くるぶし、つま先、エッジ部分に頑丈なプロテクターが入っていてしっかり怪我防止をしてくれると思います。運転中以外の歩行も十分できます。ただ、新品の状態ですと、当然履き慣れていないため、硬くて足を動かしにくいので、フットペダルの感覚がとても掴みにくいです。ニーグリップもしづらいと感じたので、教習用には使えませんでした。普段履きしながら、卒業後に使おうと思います。"
