We asked Geoff, the founder of KNOX, directly about the Urbane Pro!

Q. The Urbane Pro is often said to be heavy. What do you think about this?

A. The reason it is heavy is because the back protector is larger than those of other companies. While CE standards state that the protection range only needs to extend from the back to the lower back, that is definitely not enough in the event of an accident. You need coverage all the way down to the tailbone. Therefore, the weight of the Urbane Pro is proof of its safety.

Q. Some say they are confused about the sizing.

A. Please wear it snugly. This prevents the elbow and shoulder protectors from rotating, keeping you safe. Also, wrinkles caused by excess room make it harder for your skin to breathe. If there are gaps, heat will build up and it will feel hotter. A tight fit is actually cooler. Plus, the Urbane Pro becomes a part of your body, and you'll hardly notice the weight.

Q. Is the mesh material as durable as the other parts?

A. In short, it has sufficient strength against abrasion. Of course, compared to the non-mesh parts, it is slightly inferior regarding impact. This is because CE standards have strict criteria for impact on the elbows, shoulders, and back, but the requirements for other areas are slightly lower. We use mesh only in those specific areas.

Q. I heard this is the best-selling Knox product. Why is that?

A. This is not well known, but most accidents occur at speeds below 30 km/h, and they happen when you say, "I'm just going out for a quick ride." Unfortunately, most people aren't wearing protectors at those times. Because it's a hassle, right? So, I wanted the Urbane Pro to be something you can put on instantly without any hassle. I think that sentiment resonated with people. It is my favorite product.

In-Motion Mesh

A newly developed stretch mesh material. It provides high breathability while enhancing the ability to follow body movements compared to conventional models. Maintains a natural fit even in riding positions.

MICRO-LOCK COMPACT Protector

KNOX's proprietary impact-absorbing material, MICRO-LOCK, has evolved into the MICRO-LOCK COMPACT. While maintaining the traditional features of being soft during normal use and hardening (locking) upon impact, it incorporates a strong and durable honeycomb structure, making it thinner (up to 60%) with significantly improved breathability. Additionally, thanks to the honeycomb structure and the patented "Flex and Adapt" side slits, the protector naturally fits the body's shape, eliminating the feeling of the protector floating or being bulky, resulting in a more comfortable fit.

CE AA Certified

The entire garment is certified to CE EN17092 Class AA. The armor shirt alone provides high abrasion resistance.

MICRO-LOCK Level 2

CE Level 2 MICRO-LOCK protectors are standard equipment for shoulders, elbows, and back, balancing flexibility with impact absorption.

Power Mesh Lining

The conventional lining has been reviewed and a lightweight power mesh has been adopted. It prevents heat buildup and supports a comfortable fit even over long periods.

Chest Protector Compatible

Specially designed to accommodate a chest protector (sold separately). You can enhance protection levels according to your riding style.

Seasonless System

Compatible with Knox's unique layering system, allowing you to use the same armor shirt year-round by adding thermal or waterproof layers.
