Packed with mountaineering boot expertise, despite their simple shape, these shoes feature a three-layer Norwegian-welted sole, fiber cups at the toe and heel, and an inner foam that gently envelops the foot.
They are packed with riding technology. No.145 is the crystallization of Gaerne's technology.
The "ROUGH" in Rough Brown means rugged. It's a boot color created with the concept that wearing them hard, getting scratches, and having uneven leather color is cool!
You'll likely notice minor scratches and scuff marks from the start when they arrive. When the product is dry, the leather color brightens, and the shades become more pronounced. Applying a waterproof polish, etc., will darken the leather color and make color changes due to friction less noticeable. Repeating this process many times will bring out even more character.

These boots come with a leather tag made from the same full-grain leather as the upper.
Since it is made with the same thickness and dye as the shoes, you can feel the quality and substantiality of the material directly. From the cross-section, you can see that thick leather is used without reservation.
The tag is embossed with the GAERNE logo and MADE IN ITALY. It quietly tells the story of the solid background and the attitude of the craftsman. It's a small, tangible tag that allows you to see and feel how high-quality leather is used in the boots, and even enjoy the changes over time.
The leather tag included with this product will be according to the specifications from December 2025 onwards. Earlier models do not include it.
Also, please note that there is a mix of specifications where the tag is threaded directly through the shoelace and where it is fixed with metal fittings.
Since it may come off during wear, we recommend removing and storing it when using the boots.

"10年以上前から憧れのNo. 145をやっと購入しました。サイズはハイグレードインソールを入れたかったので、皆さんのレビューから、そもそも大きめということでしたので、いつものスニーカーサイズを購入しました。最初に脚を入れた時はキツイかと思いましたが、ほんの少し履いているうちに慣れてきて大きいかなと思うくらいになりました。 ワンサイズ下と2足を送って頂いて試着した方が良かったかも知れません。 硬さはさほど気になりませんよ。 スニーカーよりは勿論硬いですけど、最初からライディングには支障はありませんでした。 でも慣れていない方は数日間普段使いして慣らしてからの方が良いかも知れませんね。 ライディングブーツとしては勿論、普段使いとしてもとっても良いブーツです。 カラーはワインレッドを購入しましたが写真より赤いですね。写真では茶色よりかと思いました。 もう一足、黒も欲しくなりました。"

"身長177cm体重75kgで普段スニーカー着用サイズは28. 0もしくは28. 5cmなので、No. 145は27. 5か28. 0cmだろうと予想して注文した。 ところが27. 5cmでも大きく、27. 0cmで甲と親指付け根部が少しきついかなというサイズ感だった。 革ということもあり自分の足型に合わせていくには27. 0cmが適当だろうと判断した。 通勤時に1万歩程度歩いて慣らしてみたが、まだまだ革は硬いし脱ぎ履きはし難く、きつい箇所は痛みが生じる。 これからじっくりと時間をかけて履き慣らし自分の足にジャストフィットさせたい。 なお、バイク乗車時のシフトアップは慣れが必要で、シフトパッド部ではなくつま先でペダルを上げてしまうこが多いが、これも時間をかけて慣れていきたい。 上記は買った直後の雑感ではあるが、本商品は履き慣らした後のレビューも必要だと思う。"
